I am a naturopathic doctor with a clinical focus on women’s hormonal and metabolic health, including weight regulation, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, perimenopause and menopause, and healthy aging.

My approach combines evidence-informed medicine with individualized care, integrating clinical research, laboratory testing, and patient-specific data to guide treatment decisions.

I am trained in acupuncture, auricular (ear) acupuncture, IV vitamin therapy, and Bowen therapy, which I may incorporate alongside nutritional counselling and targeted supplementation to support overall hormonal and metabolic balance.

My care is focused on supporting the body through hormonal transitions such as menstrual cycle changes, fertility challenges, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and menopausal transition, as well as associated concerns such as energy, sleep, mood, digestion, and weight regulation.

I’m Dr. Tanya Kelloway, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner based in Calgary.

I’ve been in practice since 2010, and before that I worked as a Registered Massage Therapist for six years. My work focuses on women’s health, pelvic health, and nervous system regulation.

Why I do this work

There is a moment I see often in clinic.

Someone sits down and starts describing what they’ve been experiencing. As they talk, it becomes clear they’ve been trying to make sense of this on their own for a long time.

At some point they say, “I don’t feel like myself,” or “No one has really explained this to me.”

That moment matters.

Because often, their symptoms are real, connected, and meaningful. They just haven’t been looked at in a way that brings them together.

My approach

I use Traditional Chinese Medicine as a lens to understand the body as a system, not a collection of separate parts.

Rather than focusing on one symptom at a time, I look for patterns across the whole picture.

Sleep, digestion, mood, hormones, pain, and energy are often influencing each other. When we understand how those pieces connect, treatment becomes more targeted and more useful.

My work may include acupuncture, education, and lifestyle guidance, depending on what is appropriate for each person.

I often integrate both Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and modern physiological understanding so you can better understand what is happening in your body.

Who I work with

I especially enjoy working with people who are:

navigating perimenopause or menopause trying to regulate their menstrual cycle experiencing pelvic floor symptoms or pelvic pain dealing with stress, burnout, or nervous system dysregulation living with symptoms that feel complex or unresolved

Many of the people I work with have already sought care elsewhere and are looking for a different perspective.

What it’s like to work with me

My goal is not just to treat symptoms, but to help you understand your body.

You can expect a thorough intake, clear explanations, and a treatment plan that evolves over time.

I don’t offer quick fixes, but I do offer a consistent, thoughtful approach and a space where your experience is taken seriously.

I am a pelvic health and orthopaedic physiotherapist with over 15 years of experience. After moving to Canada in 2014, I expanded my training in chronic pain, pelvic floor rehabilitation, endometriosis-related pain, pregnancy and pelvic girdle pain, breastfeeding support, and infant physiotherapy.

My approach to pelvic health is also informed by my own experience with pelvic pain and recovery, which shapes my compassionate and patient-centered style of care.

I provide pelvic health physiotherapy for concerns including pelvic pain, pain with physical intimacy, prolapse, incontinence, and constipation.

I have a strong focus on pregnancy and postpartum care, including labour preparation, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding and infant support such as positioning, latch, torticollis, jaw and neck tension, plagiocephaly, mastitis, and plugged ducts.

I also support clients with orthopaedic and complex conditions, including hypermobility spectrum disorders and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I have completed the Ehlers-Danlos Society ECHO program for Allied Health Professionals and am currently working toward certification in Visceral Manipulation to further support my clients.

My care is collaborative and individualized, focused on helping clients understand their bodies, identify contributing factors, and work toward meaningful functional goals in a safe and supportive environment.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy long walks with my dog Jasper and spending time outdoors with my family.

I am a chiropractor with a focused interest in women’s health, supporting women through key hormonal and life-stage transitions, including pregnancy and postpartum recovery, as well as perimenopause and menopause.

I am a certified practitioner with the Menopause Society, reflecting additional training and my commitment to evidence-informed care in this area.

My care is centered on helping patients navigate the physical changes that can occur during these transitions, including pain, stiffness, changes in posture and strength, sleep disruption, fatigue, and reduced core stability.

My approach integrates chiropractic care with pelvic health and core function, aiming to address underlying contributors to symptoms rather than treating them in isolation. I work to help women better understand how hormonal shifts and life-stage demands can influence the body’s mechanics, nervous system, and overall function.

Care is individualized and designed to support improved movement, comfort, and resilience through pregnancy, postpartum, and midlife transitions. My goal is to support women who are often navigating complex symptoms without clear answers, helping them feel more grounded, capable, and at ease in their bodies.

I am a registered massage therapist with a background as a former competitive dancer, which shaped my understanding of how movement, injury, and recovery are deeply connected.

I have advanced training in jaw (TMJ) dysfunction, and I am certified in prenatal massage. I also offer laser therapy as a certified laser therapist to support tissue healing, pain reduction, and recovery when appropriate.

I work to identify underlying patterns such as muscle imbalances, postural changes, and movement dysfunctions that contribute to pain and tension cycles. From there, I create individualized treatment plans to support each client’s specific needs and goals.

Influenced by my background in dance and my passion for movement and exercise, I believe that movement is often a powerful tool in supporting recovery, reducing pain, and improving long-term function.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time in the mountains hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, snowboarding, and camping, as well as time with my partner and dog.
