Dr. Tanya Kelloway
(She/Her/Hers)
I’m Dr. Tanya Kelloway, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner based in Calgary.
I’ve been in practice since 2010, and before that I worked as a Registered Massage Therapist for six years. My work focuses on women’s health, pelvic health, and nervous system regulation.
Why I do this work
There is a moment I see often in clinic.
Someone sits down and starts describing what they’ve been experiencing. As they talk, it becomes clear they’ve been trying to make sense of this on their own for a long time.
At some point they say, “I don’t feel like myself,” or “No one has really explained this to me.”
That moment matters.
Because often, their symptoms are real, connected, and meaningful. They just haven’t been looked at in a way that brings them together.
My approach
I use Traditional Chinese Medicine as a lens to understand the body as a system, not a collection of separate parts.
Rather than focusing on one symptom at a time, I look for patterns across the whole picture.
Sleep, digestion, mood, hormones, pain, and energy are often influencing each other. When we understand how those pieces connect, treatment becomes more targeted and more useful.
My work may include acupuncture, education, and lifestyle guidance, depending on what is appropriate for each person.
I often integrate both Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and modern physiological understanding so you can better understand what is happening in your body.
Who I work with
I especially enjoy working with people who are:
navigating perimenopause or menopause trying to regulate their menstrual cycle experiencing pelvic floor symptoms or pelvic pain dealing with stress, burnout, or nervous system dysregulation living with symptoms that feel complex or unresolved
Many of the people I work with have already sought care elsewhere and are looking for a different perspective.
What it’s like to work with me
My goal is not just to treat symptoms, but to help you understand your body.
You can expect a thorough intake, clear explanations, and a treatment plan that evolves over time.
I don’t offer quick fixes, but I do offer a consistent, thoughtful approach and a space where your experience is taken seriously.
Work with me
If this approach feels like the right fit, you can book your initial appointment when you’re ready.

As a former competitive dancer, I’m all too familiar with injuries and how effective massage therapy can be in the recovery process. My goal is to identify underlying patterns such as muscle imbalances, postural changes and movement dysfunctions that lead to pain-tension cycles, and subsequently create an individualized treatment plan to address clients’ concerns. Influenced by my years of training and passion for exercise, I believe that movement is often the right medicine for combating aches and pains. In my spare time you can find me in the mountains hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, snowboarding, and camping and spending time with my partner and dog.
